PMDG MD-11 v2?

Featured Replies

Hello everyone. I'm using the PMDG 737, 747 and MD-11 (all boxed version) in Flight Simulator 2004, but now I'm making the jump to FSX and I would like know if PMDG intend to make a v2 of the MD-11 for FSX to improve 3D cockpit.

Thanks

What a very bad news... :(

Thank you very much for you quick answer pinlifter.

Really sad. I love the PMDG T7 and yet, I tend to go back to the MD11 quite often. I love the atmosphere in the VC in spite of the textures being nowhere as sharp as the T7 ones. Maybe this is because the T7 textures look too new, almost too plastic. I prefer the worn down style of the MD11 and the NGX. And what I still find extremely impressive is the thought how modern the MD11 was system wise. And still it isn't boring to fly, and what's more, it is also fun to handfly. I wish PMDG will think their decision over in the future

MD-11 v2.0 wouldn't sell any better than v1.0, I reckon ...

Maybe, but it would be wonderful a MD-11 with the 3D cockpit quality of the NGX or the Airbus X Extended...

...and then we repeat the discussion of the linked thread here.

I can guarantee everyone that anything said here will not be any different from what has already been discussed here.

Oh well Kyle has said we need to stop discussing our thoughts, opinions and wish lists on this, so we'd better all do so.....

Aren't many popular discussion subjects repeated a lot on AVSIM? .... and is that in any way surprising, or a bad thing?  Does it need someone to tell people to shut up as the discussion will not be any different to another thread?

When you see a topic entitled "MD-11 v2" you could always ignore it and not go into the thread, if you know it's going to irritate you.

Sorry, just 2c, seeing a real pattern here.

Yep!  What I say is what needs to happen because I'm the kind of the forum.  What, you didn't know?

That passive aggression in that post was on point, though.  MOAR PLZ!!!

So...where exactly did I tell someone to shut up?  When you can find where it is in my post by directly quoting it and not inferring it, then we can discuss my supposed rudeness and contempt.  Until then, what actually happened is the following:

  1. I stated a fact: this topic has already been discussed
  2. I stated that anything brought up here will likely not bring up any new points
  3. I provided a link to the earlier discussion

End.  The rest is your inference.  That's your issue - not mine.

In a similar fashion, you can see my opinions and choose to ignore them.  You didn't choose to ignore my opinion.  I didn't choose to ignore this post.  The odd thing is, I'm not the one contradicting my own message.  If my pattern is simply raising the points that discussions have already been had, and that continued discussion will not likely bring new arguments, I'm okay with that.

Gosh, what a jerk.  He's probably the same kind who tells people that the knowledge would've been a lot quicker to find in the manuals, too.

Report that man!!!
