October 30, 201312 yr After a week of fighting with PMDGOptions.dll issues (self inflicted), and now CTD's and other weird behavior, I uninstalled every scenery and aircraft I own. FS is stable now, I've added back scenery/terrain/traffic and so far - so good. It's time for my airplanes. I've decided to give up on the RJ's and the LD-767 as I just don't have the patience to dig up the old threads and mess with DLL.XML issues anymore. Even if there's simple fixes, I think I'm done Now it's time for: 747-400 and -8, MD-11, 737-6/7/8/9 and the 777. Would it make sense to install in order of the release dates of these products so newer files always overwrite older files .... or does it just not matter ... or - is there a preferred order that makes more sense than release date based on someone's experience? Curious if it matters or not. Thanks... Bob Donovan - KBOS

Doesn't really matter, but order of release is my default procedure. Kyle Rodgers
October 31, 201312 yr The PMDG operations center that comes with the 777 may be your best bet, I'd actually do the reverse and try that first and use the updates it offers. Also make installing skins easy... Steve McNitt
October 31, 201312 yr Shouldn't make any difference I believe , since for example if one would purchase the 777 and installed it and hadn't got any other pmdg aircraft and than decides to get the ngx and and than you have to uninstall the t7 and install the 737 ngx and re install the t7. Than I might get the md -11 darn it I have to uninstall the ngx the t7 and install the md-11 and than re install the ngx and the t7. Than wow I like the have the pmdg js4100 in my hangar and grrrr I have to do the uninstall and re install process again if one would follow the process of the release dates I7-8700k,Corsair h1101 cooler ,Asus Strix Gaming Intel Z370 S11 motherboard, Corsair 32gb ramDD4,, gtx 1080ti Card, RM850 power supply Peter kelberg
October 31, 201312 yr What happens to the navdata that comes with the installers? Can a current database be overwritten by an older one from an older installer? If you bought an AIRAC cycle that's newer than the one delivered with the T7 this question should be irrelevant, of course. Just install that cycle after all the planes. What happened to AVSIM

October 31, 201312 yr Author Not too worried about the nav databases as that's an easy update. pmdgoptions / pmdgsounds ... Was wondering if the 747 install is smart enough not to overwrite the T7 version of those dll's (assuming they are different). I've decided: 747-400 MD-11 747-8i addon 737 Base 737-600/700 T7 I don't think I can go wrong with that install. But I was more curious than anything if I change things around. Bob Donovan - KBOS
