Having NTDLL CTD's and running MyTraffic?

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I just experienced a number of CTD's caused by ntdll.dll.  I discovered the reason is most likely due to a recent update to MyTraffic 5.4b making it 5.4c.  Burkhard is aware of the problem and is working to get it fixed.  Here is a link to his support thread on the topic: http://forum.simflight.com/topic/75131-54c-ctd-problem-a-solution/page-3

I think the easy fix for now is to go back to 5.4b as the problem is apparently related to the 2013 schedule.

That error is usually memory related. My friend had crashes with that same error with the pmdg 737 and 777. The problem was 2 mega scenery X addon he had just installed. Because they are photoreal the would put a strain on his system with all his other scenery activated. Once he disabled all the scenery his wasn't flying to the crashes went away.

I have about 40 MSE V2 photosceneries installed and disabled all but the ones I was using for my flight.  Still had the NTDLL.dll and also BEX/StackHash crash.  I recall now that I moved my AI slider from 30 to 40 and that's when the problem occurred.  I went back to MTX V5.4b and the problems are all gone.  It is a known problem with MTX 2013 schedules and it is being fixed.

Best regards,

Jim

Jim,

Thanks for the info. I, too, have had NTDLL crashes of late and, until I read your post, had no idea they might be caused by MyTrafficX 5.4C (which I recently installed). You say the MTX schedules are being 'fixed'. Can you elaborate?

Go to the link posted by the OP.  It provides all the info plus whether or not the problem has been fixed.

Best regards,

Jim

I can vouch for this. Since building my new rig last June, not a single crash until I installed 5.4c last month. Then I got ntdll crashes. Removed 5.4c and all is well again in my flightsim world
