Travel advice needed

Featured Replies

Hey everyone

I was trying to get some first hand information on which airline i should use next time i travel to the States.I have always flown to America with Aer Lingus but this time would like to try another carrier.

After weeks of research on various websites and looking at many youtube videos i am still at a loss to which US carrier to choose.

I would like to travel Business Class with my fiancee so seating together with a window seat is a must, my direct from Dublin options are Delta 767: United 757: US Airways 757 or American Airlines 757

Which of these airlines offer the best service using the aircraft mentioned

So far i am leaning slightly towards United

I am surprised no one has responded to this. From my limited experience I would go with Delta for Business Class experience and stay far away from US Airways. Supposedly American Airlines has revamped their services but I haven't heard much about them since they've done it. I will say this though, no matter which airline you choose, chances are the service won't be as nice as you're used to. Our US carriers have lost touch with fashion and customer service.

Again, I'm just going off of my limited experience and I hope someone who travels Business Class a lot will chime in.

Thanks for the reply Kyle much appreciated.

When I checked the seating map for Delta it was a 1-2-1 seating which I thought was a little odd for a 767 as seat guru said it was 2-2-2

I'll do some more research this evening after work.

Thanks again for the reply

My experience with American business class had been positive and if I remember correctly it was a 767 with two window seats side by side. (KORD->LFPG)

I flew Continental BusinessFirst three years ago from EWR to EGLL and back on a 757.  They had the lie flat seats.  I'm 5'11", so I barely fit in them.  I believe it was the day flight, so sleep was not important.  They did have an option they claimed to give you all your food at once so you could sleep or not be bothered every few minutes with something.  The screens were fuzzy and not in focus.  They did have ice cream sundaes and port wine and cheese at the end of the main meal.

I'll try to write more later..gotta run.

I used to fly American. I now fly Delta. Better service from the gate agents and generally more pleasant attitudes by the flight crews.
