December 13, 200421 yr Hi Dennis, have you taken notice of the clickspots and/or panel view manager for the different views? Works MUCH better than the key combinations.PS: Happy Birthday!
December 13, 200421 yr Oh great, I don't need another add-on....But this one sure is tempting. :)DF does do great work and their customer service is top-notch.This bird has been in developemtn for a long time hasn't it? December 13, 200421 yr Just finished exploring those and they were obviously programmed by Flight Simmers. Perfect.By the way, that Reality XP Radar is the fasheezie.I just tried it in some severe weather, and it was very nice to see where the activity was while flying in low vis.I was most impressed that the RADAR in the VC worked and matched the Panel Radar. I have never had RADAR in flight sim before. I may have to buy this add-on and add to some other planes. Having it integrated into the VC is touch of realism that sets this bird apart.Dennis
December 13, 200421 yr How rude of me to omit this, Thanks Uwe for the birthday wish. It has been a while since I got something so cool for my birthday.Dennis
December 13, 200421 yr I must say... I am impressed! Still haven't figured out most of the systems, but WOW. You can do anything! A smooth VC even when I run 100% traffic. My only complaints so far are when switching to a 2d panel in the VC, it automatically moves me back to the main 2dpanel and I have to press switch view to get back to the VC again... But other than that it is awesome. Hopefully somebody will do a Kitty Hawk repaint of either variant

December 13, 200421 yr >Alright! Let's give it up for Clayton. I am sure you had a>lot to do with the convincing feel.>>Thanks for my birthday present!>>Dennis MitchellYeah Dennis I was thinking the same thing about Clayton. In fact L Betti commented on his contribution and his peskyness.;)It also seems to me that DF listens to the pros and it shows.Clay,For a Dodge man ya done good.:)Troy
December 13, 200421 yr Wow just went for my first flight and she is awesome to say the least.I particularly like the random failures for fires and brake problems which is something we should see more of.It does everythng right that Captsim did wrong like a working FD,EPR's which don't dance in wind changes and a great handling FDE.Looking frward to flying the three holer extensively over the next few months. Thanks Dreamfleet.Darren
December 13, 200421 yr Many thanks everyone for such an enjoyable thread - made a great read.Cheers :)Josh
December 13, 200421 yr It's a spectacular aircraft. Fun as hell to fly around. Sounds are more complex than any other aircraft that I know of! Stby Altimeter and trim sounds are very much like PMDG's NG but I must say it has a few up in the sound department. I can't comment on the flight dynamics since I have no idea how a real 727 flys but I learned very quickly on this bird tonight how important the trimming is on how this bird handles, something I don't always notice in some other planes. Frame rates are extremly fast on my rig, and that goes for the VC too! Best Wishes,
Randy J. Smith
http://www.rawbw.com/~bdoolin/shinault/southparkcartmad.gif
PMDG 747!
Caution! December 13, 200421 yr Randy,Well, knowing you are just as opinionated as I, , a warm felt thanks from myself and the DF Beta team. I think I can speak for the team in saying that comments which are so positive make all the hard work very worth while.Carry on, Sir!Clayhttp://www.dreamfleet2000.com/gfx/images/F...ers/Dopke01.jpgClayton T. December 13, 200421 yr Author >>>>I am going to pass on this one..........@$34.95 I save my>plastic for the PIC 767. I already have CS727.>>Dreamfleet took to long to release this one if I remember>right they started development for this in the 2002 platform.>>Looks nice though......my Dad helped built almost everyone>flying today.Hi Randy,For a LOT LESS than that amount I can have a night out at a hockey game, and eat too. final Score Gulls 4, Aces 3.True Story, last night.San Diego Gulls Hockey game = $7.00, Included seat, and Skating after the game.Hot Dog, Coke, Doritos, and Oreos, plus bottle of water= $5.00.Parked for free off street parking nearby.Skated on the Ice with the players for free, and got Free Autographs and Pictures, and an Hour of skating. (Brought My Own Bauer Skates from my hockey days.) ($3.00 if you need to rent them.)Thus proving one can have a night out for less than an add-on.Total Cost $12.00, Plus I have memories and pictures forever. So much for the night out of entertainment costing more than an add-on analogy myth.... ;-)Oh, and I didn't include my kids cost in that, because ummmm, My kids can't fly an add-on at the same time as I do, now can they?BTW - Anyone in San Diego Area, go see a Gulls game, they are pretty good, and with the NHL being locked out by the owners, there is still good hockey to be seen. http://www.sandiegogulls.com/Regards,Joehttp://www.aboutpolitics.net/screenshots/1gull.jpg CryptoSonar on Twitch & YouTube.
December 13, 200421 yr Commercial Member Clay, Paul and others involved - you guys did a really great job with this product. Haven't had time to really put it through its paces yet, but what I've seen so far is very very good and much better IMO than the other payware 727 that's out there, particularly in the FDE department and the panel readability. The config manager is super nice too - being able to set the cone width and threshold levels for the windshear warning system is just too cool! Haven't even played with the WX radar yet, which I hear is spectacular as well. VC frames were very good - this will be a joy to use with the new TrackIR 3Pro/Vector setup I'm getting for Christmas! :DGonna be flying this one for quite a while I think...
