November 20, 201312 yr I guess if the screen shots were too good they might be considered entertainment... The number of commercial developers involved in beta testing is very encouraging. Obviously they see P3D as playing a big part in their future development. gb. YSSY. November 20, 201312 yr The only mild disappointment I have is them creating a native weapons interface, then tying it all up in that $2300 Professional Plus license. Maybe it's because it is a platform that is designed for professionism rather than gamers? Sent from my GT-N7100 using Tapatalk
November 20, 201312 yr I have the A-36 for FSX but having in native to P3d keeps me from having to move it from FSX. I was thinking about getting the Alabeo Extra 300 but I see its included aswell which makes me very happy. ATP MEL,CFI,CFII,MEI. Type Ratings B-737, ERJ-190,ERJ-170
November 20, 201312 yr Author +1 If I may add. To me it shows the level of commitment LM has towards the Flight Simulator community. IMHO this new simulator is here to stay! On the freeware dev side, Dino's development is on par with most payware add-ons. His Tomcat is just magnificent. I'm eager to try out his new F-35A. Cheers. Let's hope the bean counters at LM has more passion for aviation and simulation than those at MS HQ! Dino's aircraft are works of art, and has kept me from ever buying a fighterjet addon. Hope he got rewarded well by LM. Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
November 20, 201312 yr Commercial Member Maybe it's because it is a platform that is designed for professionism rather than gamers? None of the platform is designed for 'gamers', military or non. Myself, I like simulating military procedures and operations just as much as others may enjoy entering data into a FMC. My expressing disappointment was mainly due to the realization that there will be areas of simulation that we currently have in FSX (via TacPack) that we likely won't get in P3D 2, due to the Pro+ license. I really hope that the military features alluded to in the pro+ version are simply weapons and sensors, and they don't decide to remove other items already present that are purely military, such as the ability to launch from carriers. Since they have stated that they haven't taken away from the SDK, only added, I'm hopeful that this isn't the case, but still. I'm not sure if it's cause for concern that only Dino's F-35A is included. On the other hand, I do look forward to the Iris F-22 being included. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.

Um, VRS have stated that they are working on a P3D version of TacPack... ...the which makes this a moot issue I should think. Fr. November 20, 201312 yr Commercial Member Ill be waiting with anticipation for Froogle to make a vid or stream. Yeah, that's not happening as far as I know. Froogle said he can't make videos on P3D because of some EULA nonsense, which really kind of sucks. Froogle's the guy that thought me quite a bit about FS! Aamir Thacker
November 20, 201312 yr Commercial Member Um, VRS have stated that they are working on a P3D version of TacPack......the which makes this a moot issue I should think. VRS references on their product pages that TacPack use (and indeed, Superbug use) for P3D as 'commercial-use inquiries welcomed via email'. I think it'll be of interest to see how this all shakes out, regardless. Jim Stewart Milviz Person.
