Apparently the Norwegian CAA (Avinor) is looking for people with hours on FSX or X-plane and a fascination for aviation. According to the job advert, participation in VATSIM is also a big bonus. The job is full time, paid accordingly, and candidates are given a 3 week training course.

I would really like to, if that is a serious advert, but I do not speak Norwegian, so I guess I'm not who they would want.

Cool thing, though!

I get the impression that they are wanting to have up to seven "pilots" available to provide real interactions with air traffic controller trainees. Odd though that there is no mention of salary given.

 

Ah well, I don't speak Norwegian, fluent or otherwise so I'm excluded de facto.

Actually in Norway it's not usual for job adverts to mention the exact salary, and it's not usual to ask about it at a job interview either unless you're told it. I guess it's mostly because they'd rather hire people interested in the job itself and not the salary..? At least I wouldn't care so much about how good the salary was if I could get paid to fly a flight simulator as a full time job  B)
