November 22, 201312 yr Is there any way to be able to select a particular camera definition view by a keystroke or joystick button rather than having to use the "S" and "A" keys? I want to be able to be in the 2d or VC view and switch to an aircraft view of the wings or any other camera definition. Thanks, Bob.
November 22, 201312 yr Use ezdok, problem solved. Intel i7 10700K | Asus Maximus XII Hero | Asus TUF RTX 3090 | 32GB HyperX Fury 3200 DDR4 | 1TB Samsung M.2 (W11) | 2TB Samsung M.2 (MSFS2020) | Arctic Liquid Freezer II 280mm AIO | 43" Samsung Q90B | 27" Asus Monitor
November 22, 201312 yr Add the statement "HotKeySelect=x" at the end of the CameraDefinition.nnn sections for the views you want to map in the Aircraft.cfg file. x = the number of the "View Camera x (select)" assignment from the FSX "Settings -Controls" menu. Those available for assignment are 0, 4 through 9. Then assign the button, switch or key-combo to those entries in that menu. nnn = the camerea definition number, .1, .2, .001, .002, etc in the Aircraft.cfg file. I assign views 4,5 & 6 plus F9 to the number 2 hat switch on my X-45 stick which I have set for my rightm seat, engine controls, radio stack or other VC views and the left seat (VC default view - F9). I move about the aircraft with a flick of my thumb. I also use TrackIR so I can pretty much see everything I need to see with just those 4 assignments. Occasionally I add a 5th assignment on some aircraft if there is another area I need to see 'up close' with ease. Paul
November 22, 201312 yr It should be noted that by default HotKeySelect=4 is assigned to F12 and triggers Top Down View. Paul must have done away with that view. You may not want to. regards, Joe [edit] BTW, 1, 2, and3 are available too if you want to change them from the default F9-11assignments of, VC, 2D and Spot respectively.
