November 23, 201312 yr There is a click spot, next to the terrain button on the EFIS. This click spot brings up a 2D panel of the MCP and EFIS and works perfect on a single monitor, however on a triple monitor the panel does not come up, instead you get the 'ring of death' (a black and white active circle icon) and a frame rate of 1 or 2. Apparently it is a problem with the 2D panel not stretching to size. I found out by accidentally pressing it whilst in the middle of a long flight. Hopefully PMDG will fix this in the next release.
November 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member Good call, thanks for the heads up. You'd think by now that developers would provide a step in the installation for single, or multiple monitors so that differently sized panels are installed. There really are quite a few multi-monitor users in flight sim. I certainly hope that developers start to include this for future releases and updates. The Ring of Death (nicely put( certainly does wreck a flight. November 23, 201312 yr Commercial Member Agreed. Providing configs for multiple monitor set up (aspect ratio) would be greatly appreciated. I still run 4:3 aspect (bought for sensible money before the curse of "HD" jacking the price on displays of higher resolution), and had to edit the config files to suit. PITA as I had to figure out the correct panel aspect, then convert. Took about an hour (but the result is worth it). 4:3, 5:4 16:9 and 16:10 would cover 99% of setups. Would be even better if it could be set dynamically in code. Best regards, Robin.

I also have a triple display system I reported the exact same problem with Pmdg opened a ticket and they sent me the Fix with that I have not experienced any issues... it works just fine.
November 24, 201312 yr Might send them a ticket. It does not bather me as I never use any 2D panels, with EZDoc Track IR and the triple screen I find I can see all the panels, it's just that I pressed it my mistake and was a big annoyed when my flight ended sooner then I wanted. Was it just a panel size change??
November 24, 201312 yr It's nothing to do with PMDG, what you are trying to do is tell FSX to show the 2d panel across a larger than normal window. So you will have to tell FSX the size of the new window. You should have Googled the problem before contacting PMDG and the answer will come up. I just did.. linc: http://forum.avsim.net/topic/395103-triple-monitors-2d-panel-problem-spinning-mouse/ The answer is the third reply.. Hope that helps you.. James (jaydor) "Let me X-Plane where I fly in 2020"

November 24, 201312 yr Was it just a panel size change?? I think it was more than that they had me replace the whole panel.cfg.
November 25, 201312 yr I finally ditched my three monitor set up (TH2G) and bought a 27" monitor with the 2500/1900 (apx) resolution. I don't miss the three monitors because the images were stretched at the sides anyways - and now I never have to worry about whether other games I play on it will work... Dell Ultrasharp - very good monitor. Colin Ware
