New Norway VFR scenery

Featured Replies

The whole country with detailed coastline, lakes, rivers & landclasshttp://www.fotoscenery.com/engelsk.htmThe screenshots look amazing. But alas, I have a blind date tonight (arrrghhh why do nice things have to get in the way of even nicer things tonight!!!!)Could someone provide a review for when I get bored at work tomorrow please?Anthony

Looks good. I'll have to give it a try tomorrow. Does anybody know where the data for the coastlines comes from?

>Does anybody know where the data for the coastlines comes from?I'm wandering that question too. I'd dearly love to do the whole of scotland with this kind of detail. I think that this scenery was made using slartibartfast which automates a lot of scenery creation techniqies - hence so much detail for a whole country.Anthony Dyer

hey!No back azimuth approaches in Norway!:-)

OK folks, just downloaded the scenery and fired it up in the Narvik region where I last did my hiking holiday.Frankly, this scenery deserves the :-beerchug award! Not only is every pond (let alone every lake) right there, but the nordic landclass that goes with the scenery is (give or take some acceptable errors) excellent. All we need now are some correctly placed nordic roads, railways and autogen bridges and I'll be in 7th heaven!!Oh, and the date.... you could say I went through pre-start checklists without coming across any snags (not cleared for take off yet!!)Anthony

I could well be wrong - but I suspect that the poor site has just buckled under the pressureLeave it for a while and then try again in a couple of weeks - not all sites can sustain hundreds of downloads in a month because it costs MONEY

Not sure what's happened here, other sites like flightsim.no are not hosting his latest work.Could only speculate that either his ISP account has reached its monthly bandwidth limit or he hasn't renewed his ISP subscription.
