OK, as promised here are my settings.

fs9.cfg

First off, my fs9.cfg settings. Now some are known tweaks and some are the result of extensive fiddling on my part without knowing the mechanisms behind the settings. Some even disagree with what is supposed to be possible and may not actually do anything for all I know, but the overall result in this combination is pretty good! Before you are tempted to change anything in your cfg better MAKE A BACKUP!

NVIDIA settings

Now for my Nvidia settings. I have a very old NVIDIA 9800 GT with the latest drivers (326.41). Installing the latest drivers really allowed me to increase AA to the max possible with this card. I disabled the Nvidia Inspector because I got some strange results (blurry textures, shimmering you name it), I just use the Nvidia default configurator with these settings now:

UT settings

These are my UT settings (Edit: Ooops, I usually have inland river coastlines enabled, forgot to turn them on again). Turning on more roads seriously reduces the autogen:

To get better detail and more autogen select the button for the Auto-config Assistant to the left and below. A set of two sliders will pop up:

You need to set them to this:

Doing this gives me more autogen and also seems to affect curvature of roads and coastlines and position of bridges.Note that the sliders always resets to the default above when you click on the button. In addition changing the slider will also change the checkboxes (probably due to the higher detail) so I set my checkboxes to match the first image whenever I use the button (which I do occasionally just in case anything else affects these settings).

I also installed the minimal road patch found on this page: http://www.scenerysolutions.com/ut_downloads_FS9.html. Caution, it can only be set back by reinstalling UT!

enbseries
These are my basic enbseries settings for anyone using it. Unfortunately I can't attach the file here.

Blue haze

A guy over at the sim-outhouse (thanks again) pointed me towards the possibility of getting a blue haze and the BkueSphere addon http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=bluesphere&CatID=root&Go=Search

There is one file in the fs9/texture folder which seems to control this, also affects horizon hazing: cirrus_overcast03.bmp. I changed this for myself now but in the list above look for the file called BlueSphere Reduced Visibility Layers and see if this works for you.

If you use REX or something similar it is likely that this has already beem modded.

Hope some of this works for you too!

Don't know if that does anything, but I feel better with those lines added  . The ground textures are my own (FS9 Evolution, beta test ongoing here: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?80737-FS9-Xtreme-Evolution-beta-testers-wanted!).

I never can decide, myself. I have several enbseries.ini files which I just dump in the root folder on the fly - literally - until I have the mood that suits me. I like your setting too. Kind of ... serene.

Well, me too, I just lowered the technicolor a bit... sigh.. flightsimulators and tuning.. never ending story.

Right, that's it! ... I'm unistalling P3D2 and going to install FS9 and get it looking like this! .... Seriously looks staggeringly good; a large part due to your awesome new ground textures, and of course the ENB plays a big part.      But seriously that looks amazing.

LOL.. no P3DvX for me.

I want evrything maxed out, big airports with dozens of AI.

And clounds.. and a complex plane. and..

Thats why I stick with FS9 for the moment. FSX can handle that barely on my i7, and I like a smooth ride, without low fps.

I recently discovered that with a constant fps, locked at 30 in FS9, even landings become smooth. Oh, they stick at 30, whatever I throw into it.

So, is this a product that you are creating?  If so, will it be freeware or payware?

Most likely some kind of donationware scheme.

Some real weather I flew in this morning.

It is possible to get a goodlooking ground layer in FS9, after all!

Great shots.

nebojsa

damn i want to go back to FS9 really cool stuff.

The only thing about FS9 is can not see the traffic like fsx as I fly on vatsim and of course the dynamic head movements.

Throw in ActiveCamera, and you have ore or less the same.
