November 27, 201312 yr For those that have this sim and enjoying it could you please share your experiences visually in the screenshot forum? As they say it's better to show people versus talking about it plus I'm curious to know how different areas around the world look in P3D v2. When FSX was released they overdid it with the desert texture. More videos would be nice as well if anyone can find the time... This gives all of us something to look forward to everyday until we can join in the fun. There's a whole world to take pictures/video of. Thanks in advance... ^_^ FS2020 Alienware Aurora R11 10th Gen Intel Core i7 10700F - Windows 11 Home 32GB Ram NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 Ti Super OC 16GB - Pimax Crystal Light VR
November 27, 201312 yr Good point Dillon. I'll certainly be getting some fresh screenies up in the Screenshot Forum, from P3D2, although they won't show vanilla P3D2 textures, as I have FTX Global installed.

Those with Flightsim.com and other FS related site accounts I hope post there as well. People need to see this sim more so than hear about it. November 27, 201312 yr Moderator Dillon be honest, it will be years before you change from FS9. Anyone who's read your posts through the years knows you're on the fence about what rig to upgrade to, waiting for the next round of CPU's or GPU's to come out to future proof yourself. Which sim to upgrade to, etc, etc. I think the chance of you building a new rig and going to P3D within the next two years is about as likely as edetroit releasing all his panels and moving to FSX. Frankly I dont think any sim will satisfy you the way FS9 does since you require 100% ai, maxed settings and complex tubes, all this with like 60 FPS. No rig/sim combo will give you what you need besides FS9. Avsim Board of Directors | Avsim Forums Moderator

The 2D sprite effect that FSX has seems totally eliminated but the clouds still have that great REX look. Dave Creed

Yes, I wondered how that could be… I was expecting we needed new specific 3D clouds but apparently LM found a way to make the existing clouds 3D…? Anyway, it looks good!
