December 7, 201312 yr So this sounds like Wilco's typical wares. Sad really, as I had hoped they took the negative from the past and decided to move forward.
December 8, 201312 yr Well, I'm just getting back into the hobby after a few years out, and I decided to get Wilco's TBM figuring it must be state of the art. Purchased P3D version, installed, loaded, no problem. Took off and wow, frame rate was awful. Being away for a while, I thought I must be doing something wrong. Messed around with settings with no real improvement. It's amazing the difference between a plane like this and my Citation X; such a difference in frame rate. I'm at least relieved to see that I'm not doing something wrong. Now that being said, I did a quick flight direct from KATL to KTPA. Systems seemed to work well, Garmin was fun to play with, external views of the plane were outstanding. I'll look forward to some optimization; it can only get better, right! December 8, 201312 yr ... it can only get better, right! Mike The chances are with Wilco, it won't get better or worse...... it probably won't get any attention. Ok, they may fix absolute bugs, but they're not known for optimizing or fundamentally improving their products.
December 8, 201312 yr Well, on the bright side, I did receive a response from Wilco within about an hour of my service request. On the not so bright side, their response was not very reassuring: "Sir, We will try to optimize this but P3Dv2 has just been released... Best regards" BTW, I did verify with the displays off, it runs very well!
