I think half the trouble is that some people just think that because a product has a shiny Orbx badge on it they simply have to get the credit card out. As someone else said.....they could produce a xxxxx and it would probably sell. And there was a thread on their forum about someone who was continually pressing F5 on the day of Vector's release so he could buy it immediately.....seriously, are these people real?

 

If nothing else this has emphasised to me that it is totally stupid to buy any product such as this in the first days after launch.....which I never do. I would rather spend my time enjoying my flying than beta testing some inadequate piece of software and getting mightily frustrated about it to boot. Then, if I want to, I can purchase it knowing exactly what is in store. A mercenary attitude perhaps but I can always rely on the F5ers....

It's actually quite funny that the people who are making the most noise about Vector are apparently those who don't have it.

I've found it has significantly enhanced parts of the world that have hitherto been ignored by scenery developers. What's more, much to the shock and no doubt consternation of many, I'm actually enjoying Vector! Also looking forward to the first patch which will get the ball rolling in cleaning up the data and fixing the errors - and I very much hope something is done to reduce the width of the road encasements, something that should be a very quick and easy fix. Once OpenLC arrives the full effect will be in place - mesh/landclass/textures/vector - and the whole world will be massively improved over what's gone before.

 

Please, don't let my enjoyment of Vector get in the way of a good forum lynching... mostly by those who don't have the product in question.
