NICE!

Should tie in with PFPX very nicely! :)

Also, here's to hoping it works with the PERF REQ button on the FMC.

Yes this was mentioned on the forums a few weeks ago and here you got me all excited thinking that they came out and said its released. We are approaching the three week mark, so maybe this week if we are lucky.

Doesn't. Not yet anyway.

Surely you mean few months ago.

Great news.   All I need now are SP1 and FS2crew and I can really really start operating the 777 as it was meant to be flown.

But.. It's not even out yet?

TOPCAT is out (even without 777 profile), as is the 777. The 777 does not have implemented datalink yet, it cannot download TOPCAT perf from the Hoppie ACARS network (as the TOPCAT uploads)

You seem to misunderstand.

I'm talking about a button called PERF REQ. which is, atm, greyed out.

WIND REQ. which appears to be pretty much the same function, just for a different set of values, works great! It's just a case of outputting a file in the format specified by PMDG on a local computer (in the correct folder) then enabling it in the aircraft (assuming it's op ready). Since we don't know anything about whether PMDG is planning to do such a thing with SP1, my post was of "hope", not fact, and it was most certainly in the future tense :)

Oh, you should have specified you were talking about 777 SP1. That is, indeed, possible... and not really that bad an idea.

Kinda narrows down the fact that I'm not talking about right now right now :P

Well, the button already exists, it's just greyed out. Future functionality I'd hope.

No, I was referring to the December 10th announcement that it will be ready in 2 to 3 weeks. That was posted in the forums right away when they announced it. Of course, we have heard its coming since the release of the 777, but this more recent announcement made it sound more imminent.
