Nice shots! How do you like the 747-8 so far?

Thanks! I like it ;) The actual modelling is superb, the texturing could be a little better. It needs a new sound engine too. The systems simulation is pretty good, I'm happy with the FMC. This plane certainly has a lot of potential! It was worth the money IMHO  ^_^

So, it doesn't have custom engine sounds, right? Do you know if they plan a cargo version?

Oh they definitely have custom engine sounds, they aren't that bad. It's just the default X-plane sound engine that drives me cracked! As for a freight, I honestly don't know.

Ok, thanks a lot! It's either the Ramzzess 777 or this 747-8i what I'll buy this weekend. Sooner or later, I'll end up having both! ;-)

Ah, never mind what I said about the sounds   I made this http://library.avsim.net/search.php?SearchTerm=genx&CatID=xsounds&Go=Search

I don't mind it as much anymore.

The Flight Factor 777 is very good too. Both are worth getting (eventually)!

So you're saying you were basically out of control when you took that pic? Hahahahahaa

Yes- I've tried the chopper once...most terrifying sim experience I've ever had..Throttle works in reverse I discovered after we took off as my throttle on the joystick was at normal idle position and when the chopper loaded and I moved the throttle forward off idle and it instantly went to full power and away we went..

I didn't think I was going to make it.. took about a minute of terror before I could regain any semblance of control and understand what was going on.

Longest three minutes of my life until I got it back on the ground.  Still punchy after that one..

That's enough to put me off even trying! I'm not a fan of heli's at all, but X-Planes excellent flight dynamics gave me incentive to at least try it in the sim world ;)

Awesome shots.
