Aircraft not showing

Featured Replies

Hey guys, They say a picture is worth a thousand words.  I can't explain what this look like but maybe someone can help fix it.  In FSX-11, the names or labels are not correct.  In FSX-12 the aircraft is just a frame.  Thanks in advance James

Hi,

I don't know what you mean by FSX-11 and FSX-12.  If you mean FSX-12 is DX10 Preview Mode, then FS9 aircraft will not display properly - uncheck that.

For the first problem, the name in the Select Aircraft menu is based on one of the entries in the fltsim.n section of the plane's aircraft.cfg file.  The image displayed is the thumbnail.jpg texture in the plane's texture folder.

Those are the file names of his screenshots.

Looks like you have several third party FSX add-ins.  Possible conflict from one of those?

Of course, you probably know this already ... but to save time, you might just re-install FSXA and add the others back one by one.

I seem to recall the last time I used FSX you had to have a thumbnail, jpg in every single texture folder of the aircraft you have, otherwise it would sometimes just shift the images over like it did in the first shot.
