January 18, 201412 yr I was just about to purchase the Carenado B1900D when looking in my inbox I see that Just Flight are having a sale on their F-Lite aircraft, These sort of aircraft appeal to me as they don't look to complicated to fly. Can anyone tell me if they are any good and if they are kind on frames ( my system specs are on my sig) or should I just go with my original choice? January 18, 201412 yr I'd suggest taking a look at the free version of the F-lite 757 (http://www.justflight.com/product/757-jetliner-freemium) to see what these models are typically like. From what I've read, you can expect low-end systems simulations and an FMS tied in with the default FSX flight planner. Jonathan Monreal Visit A Flightsim Blog
January 18, 201412 yr You can't go wrong with the 757 - it's free! Simmerhead - Making the virtual skies unsafe since 1987!
January 18, 201412 yr It's the "usual suspects" - those titles have been on JF's sale before, now and then. I tried one of their lite Airbuses on a former occasion, but I didn't really like it. Judging from a distance, their MD's might(!) be interesting, maybe, really perhaps?!? What happened to AVSIM
January 18, 201412 yr Commercial Member I tried freeware F-Lite 757, and I didn't liked it, flight model is baaaad. Also I bought F-Lite A320 a year ago and it is the same story, bad flight model and completely wrong performance, especially engines related. It will take off like a rocket. So it is not about the simple systems, it's all about wrong flight models and performance. You can tweak it with AIR file editor (I tweaked PA A320 a bit), but that is not a good solution. Maybe a better option is to purchase a Overland/Simmersky Airbus package. Flight model is good, but the systems are minimal, their cockpits doesn't have even a set belts/no smoking sign switches. Pitot heat is there and the lights, and that's it practically. Very very simple. Default A321 is more complex than that, lol, how ironic is that? Current system: ASUS PRIME Z690-P D4, Intel 12900k, 32GB RAM @ 3600mhz, Zotac RTX 3090 Trinity, M2 SSD, Oculus Quest 2.
January 18, 201412 yr I have most of those aircraft, and the ones I really like are the 747, MD-80, and DC-10. They are still very 'Lite', but not as lite as, say, the A319/20/21. However, I also have the Carenado B1900D and it's surprisingly easy to fly. It really depends on your preferences (Big tubeliner vs commuter/bush flying), but given the choice I would go for the B1900.
January 18, 201412 yr If I were to fly these I would just fly the default aircraft...there's a reason they're on sale all the time! The B1900D is beautiful and worth all the F-lite products combined IMO.
January 19, 201412 yr Author Thanks for the input guys, I think I will try the free 757 and go for the B1900D. I quite like the default 737 now I have worked out the autopilot  My youtube channel http://www.youtube.com/c/Dkentflyer
