January 21, 201412 yr Hi everybody, being very new in the XP simulation I have run in to few problems, for which I didn't found any answers Why, during the opening screen I am getting a message that XP crashed last time and which rendering options should be loaded? How to get rid off ?(by the way, once the xp is loaded it occupied only half of my screen!) Why, after opening the situation with a plane, a small wwindow appear "wrong IP adress xxx.xxx.xx.x no NIC with adress found". How to get rid off? Why, I am unable to save any sitation, I am trying to save a plane position in front of a gate at airport in cold&dark conditions, to be ready for the next flight. Thx for any help Sorry to be long, but after dropping the MSFS I would like to stick to this simulator. Andre
January 21, 201412 yr I think you can choose to start with defaults, then go to settings/rendering options and make sure your resolution is right (same as your monitor) and choose to run at full screen. Then try raising items gradually. Don't know about "wrong IP address ..... " but it sounds like it is looking for an Internet connection to check for upgrades. Don't give up on XPX. It's different, but great. John John Wingold

January 21, 201412 yr "wrong IP adress xxx.xxx.xx.x no NIC with adress found". I believe this is caused by xuipc having the wrong ip in the config file. I have to manually change mine upon each pc restart. Ian

January 23, 201412 yr "wrong IP adress xxx.xxx.xx.x no NIC with adress found". I believe this is caused by xuipc having the wrong ip in the config file. I have to manually change mine upon each pc restart. Ian I just started having this issue today and the most likely culprit does seem to be XUIPC. The only reason I've got it installed is for EFASS integration with X-Plane, so I'll poke around and see if I can't find a solution on that front. January 24, 201412 yr Capn, I have had that happen a few times for no rhyme or reason. I tried to pin it to a windows update but that is inconclusive. Once I change it to correct address then its good for days and weeks. Not sure if you need the method to correct the number but will include it here: For windows 7. From START window (search programs and files) type in Cmd.exe. At the next window type "ipconfig" (no quotes) and hit enter. Look for the PV4 address. Write that down. Find your XPUIPC.ini file (XPUIPC folder) Replace the old IP address with the new one you wrote down, save the .ini file. All done, your mileage may vary with time... Chuck Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-12700KF CPU @ 4.90GHz 32.0 GB RAM Windows 11 Home NVIDIA RTX 3080Ti 12GB Multi monitors WD SN850 M2 2TB PSU 1000W. 360 AIO.cooling.
