January 30, 201412 yr Dear All, After all those great years flying FS2004 I finally built a new PC in order to fly FSX decently. But with FSX, a new paradigm has arrived, for me at least: the Virtual Cockpit. Up to now I have always avoided it, as I don't think it's practical even with the joystick pan. I've been researching about the view managers, if you will, such as the EZdok and the OpusFSX. I must confess I haven't had enough time to learn them thoroughly, and as such I still have one main question about them: can I assign each one of the hat's quadrants (otherwise used for panning) for specific views (or cameras) within these add-ons? In such a way that, for instance, if I move the hat up-left I go to, say, 45 degrees left front view, and if I move the hat left I go to 90 degrees left view, and so on and on. My primary plan is to use it with PMDG 777, and maybe, if I have some time left, with other jetliners of the kind. If you guys and girls could answer me and/or point me somewhere I could clarify the benefits, pros and cons, etc, I would appreciate so much. Best regards, PE Best regards, Wanthuyr Filho Instagram: AeroTacto
January 30, 201412 yr I can't speak for EZdok, I use OpusFSX and love it, especially with TrackIR. The custom cameras and key assignments combined with DHM makes it a very powerful immersion tool. Ric Elmore
January 30, 201412 yr Yes,I have assignments to the hat switch in much the same way as you are going to do (regular panning, then specific views using a shift key assigned button on the yoke) But, I found it easiest via FSUIPC to do this. Louise London, UK
January 30, 201412 yr Unless you intend to change your viewpoint a lot, and are just interested in looking around, then TrackIR may do everything you need. Since I got TrackIR, I haven't used any other interior views. Hook Larry Hookins Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of EarthAnd danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;
