Not to go off topic but are you saying pilot salary sucks as well in Poland? Is there anyone looking at quality of service when tasked with safely flying people 30,000ft in the air?

One of main airlines salary varies between 2,5k usd/month to 7k usd/month depending on pilot experience.

 

I am currently working for automotive industry (quite high position) and situation is even worse.

 

Average polish salary is 1.2k bucks per month - go figure. European Union but only on paper.

 

Than you need to pay the tax and you are left with 800 bucks/month (average).
