February 16, 201412 yr I check the Aerocache every day to see if a missed one comes up- it never does. Except for today! Hinalele Falls, sounds familiar, but it is not on my list. I am as surprised as Paul, a new Aerocache to get. I started my flight at Hunamalau, because I like this place. A nice view of the Wailua Valley as I climb in the Icon. I just pointed the nose at the sun since the Aerocache should be somewhere in that general direction. That peak up ahead is Kawaikini. Once I am up and over the ridge and inside the valley, it is reeking of falls, This is not going to be an easy find. Finally, I spot the Aerocache up ahead. I could swear I've been here before and already gotten this one. Strange. Anyway, no problem, I won't complain about repeats since it was a long time ago. Heading to Princeville for my landing. Yay! One more Aerocache on my list. How many altogether for me, so far? 282! Yes, I am far behind all of you. Let's see, no Curvature of the Earth for me. I left the helicopter Aerocaches undone (still waiting for a helo  ), and I must have missed the ones that only showed up for half a day before being replaced. But, how can I still be almost 70 short? Guess there is still a lot left for me to do in Flight. B) While I'm here, a picture of one of my birds - hope you like it. Best regards. February 16, 201412 yr You're still doing better than me. Edit: Wait, do Aerocaches expire based on time zone? Luis posted this the same hour as me, but he has 3 hours less to acquire the Aerocache.
February 16, 201412 yr Author :LMAO: :LMAO: :LMAO: No, it's just crazy Windows. It crashed on me a few months ago and the System Restore would not work - BSOD on launch! So, I had to reinstall the OS and since then, nothing works well. It won't sync the time and always defaults to Zulu time but in my time zone, I guess. The screenshot above is after syncing the time. No problem, I am sick of Windows anyway, too many crashes, BSOD, hassles, I am usually in Ubuntu when I turn on the computer, and even that is pretty rare now, since I prefer my book reader (Android) for most tasks. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
February 16, 201412 yr I prefer my book reader (Android) for most tasks. I like my Kindle app. It's on my wife's Kindle and also my Tablet and smart phone, all Android. If I have a book on one device it also appears on all the others. Never without a book and you never lose your place from on device to the others, really cool. As for the Aerocahce, I already had it, darn! I did notice that it renews for me now at 1:00 pm instead of 2:00 o'clock CST. Steve
February 16, 201412 yr I didn't have this one either. I have been sitting on 348 for months and knew I was either 2 or 3 short, depending on who you talked to. I check every day just to see and low and behold, here is one I missed! Now I have 349 and am 1 or 2 short. Blue skies & tailwinds, -Alan
February 16, 201412 yr I show that I collected it on 4/16/2013. Maybe it was one of those that was not up very long? Steve
February 17, 201412 yr How many altogether for me, so far? 282! Yes, I am far behind all of you. Hey Luis, I see you don't have "Rolling down the river" on the permanent Aerocache list. That is one of mine and a fun trip. Steve
February 17, 201412 yr Author Steve, I think I did get it, and it was great fun. When they are made permanent, they show up on my list unchecked and I have to go back and get them again  . Beats me why this is so. Best regards. Luis Hot, humid Caribbean paradise!
February 19, 201412 yr I have been stuck at 339 caches for a few days, but I've been lucky and snagged 6 of them over the last month or so. (11 to go) On a similar topic, I have landed at 726 unique airports. I have not come across a new one in months. Do I have them all? What is the magic number for airports? Stonelance?
