Blue Taxiway Edge Lights Not Displayed Properly Using FSX DX10

Featured Replies

Scenery AMS Cancun 2012 taxiway lights that use the halo.bmp file located in FSX\Textures folder display with dark shaded crosses and dark square at the base.  When I switch to DX9 mode the lights display properly.  The file is mipped and is 16 bit, has anyone encountered this issue anywhere else and fixed it?

I have a similar problem, what do you mean by legacy slider?

Hi Peej,

It is set to balanced currently, switched it partway between balanced then all the way left to scenery and still no change.  It's only 1 airport, I think I can live with that.

@TSA737 -- The legacy slider is found in the DX10 Scenery Fixer.

Hmm I saw your post at AMS, Rob. I think Steve is away for a week, but I believe there may be a fix for this in the offing.. Don't hold me to it, though!

All the best,

pj

PS.. Can I sell you some snow?

Hi Paul,

I had this problem at LatinVFR KMIA, since I live nearby, you can send me about 2 inches of that snow...that will cover the black box at the base of the taxiway edge light as seen above. LOL

Off?  Don't tell me he's finally taken a vacation?  If he has, good for him!  I'm not going to hold my breath for AMS to reply, seems like the dev has not answered anything for a while but if he does I will post the reply here.

Hmm, snow huh?  No thanks, can see it up on the north shore mountains just fine lol.  Hang in there my friend.

Edited after reading your post and looking at your provided screenshot again and realized this doesn't seem to be the same issue at all so my suggestion will unlikely be of any help. Sorry...

Have you tried the light field approach described in the DX10SF doc?

That fixed various airport lights issues for me especially Aerosoft sceneries that often seem to use default FSX runway and taxiway lights.

Yes I have Steve, funny thing is I can't remember if I headed back to the airport as I was having an issue with an Orbx problem that I needed to figure out.  I will check later when I am home.

No change with V2.0 either.  I found an email address for AMS and will send a request for help, otherwise I will try to re-install the addon.
