February 27, 201412 yr Hello, anyone agrees with me? I've default settings for turbulence and sometimes it's impossible to control the airplane even in not-so-bad conditions (like scattered CB clouds without TS) Any suggest? Giorgio
February 27, 201412 yr Well, you could always turn them down... I have this vague memory that default is 100% There is a slider set for the effect in ASN, from 100% to 0%... A Andrew Entwistle
February 27, 201412 yr Author Turning them down completely is irrealistic... will try to reduce the intensity as with default settings sometimes is impossible to have control of the plane
February 27, 201412 yr I said turn the effect down, not off. Reducing from the default 100% setting to something is what we term in English turning down the settings... Andrew Entwistle Andrew Entwistle

March 1, 201412 yr i found that it seems somewhat dependent on the flight model of the plane. amount seems about right with the 777 and the q400...it's crazy intense though, in the grand caravan (carenado i think) like the plane can become utterly uncontrollable even in what looks like relatively mild conditions..it shakes so bad that you can't even click on stuff in the VC.. the concorde also flops around a lot more than i would expect, although it's still very flyable. unfortunately i didn't get the impression that the slider really helped that much. it seemed like it was a filter for controlling at what level the turbulence kicks in, not a way of scaling the effect the turbulence has on the plane. when i reduced it by half the turbulence just disappeared and at around 60% or so it was back to full. it would be awesome if there was a scalar slider to just reduce the intensity...even better if it can detect what plane you are using and remember the value.. the q400 aditionally has a turbulence scalar in it's config file and i found a happy spot at around 10% less than what the default was, i think i switched it to 0.6 from 0.75 or something like that.. anyway cheers -andy crosby
