December 12, 200322 yr Telephoto lenses have a remarkable way of foreshortening things. The plane is quite far away from the bus - if you look in front of the bus you will see people at a fence looking at the airplane taking off. It does look like the plane is almost to hit the bus but it is probably several hundred feet away. One of my favorite Airliners.net photos is of an airliner coming in for a landing and it looks like it is a thousand feet too high!
December 13, 200322 yr Here is my favorite telephoto lens "trickery" photo from A.net... Always wanted to live in this neighborhood (except the other side) - I recall staring into some house windows when landing on a 747 from London and thinking damn, what a view. :) http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=049538
December 14, 200322 yr Close? This is close :) http://www.airliners.net/open.file?id=466901Fantastic photo
December 15, 200322 yr I think we're forgetting about St. Maarten. ;-) http://www.airliners.net/open.file/222258/M/http://www.airliners.net/open.file/201517/M/ Matt KaprockiFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 16, 200322 yr Well, I guess as close as you want it to be in PhotoShop. Whoever cut the plane out should have done a little better job around the nose wheel. Also, the plane is in a take-off configuration but appears to be at either the approach or departure end of a runway, not where a heavy jet rotates on takeoff.
December 16, 200322 yr If you say so, looks like a professional cut and paste to me but I'm usually wrong more often than I'm right.
December 16, 200322 yr It appears that the bus is beyond the landing aircraft. What caught my attention was where is the right main landing gear? Happy landings, Mike Eppright (KAAO)
December 16, 200322 yr The bus is in fact closer to the camera than the airplane. You can see the right main gear through the windows of the bus. Matt KaprockiFor fastest support, please submit a ticket at http://support.precisionmanuals.com
December 17, 200322 yr Anyway. In reality the airport bus tours go quite close (like 50 meters from the runway).See also here (only in German I think): http://www.uniqueairport.com/visitorservic...m&h=vs_head.htmStephan
December 17, 200322 yr That's it! You are right! Now I got it! I allways assumed the bus was behind the ac. But, as you say, the bus is before the plane - otherwise it must be a giant bus! :-)Wolfgang
December 19, 200322 yr I wanna be there. :([div align=center][link:www.jetdoc.com/STO/]Visit The Bookstore & Gift Shoppe][/b
