Orbx Northern California Tour - Leg 1

Orbx Northern California Tour - Leg 1

Starting at Monterey Regional Airport, fly up the coast 20 miles to Watsonville Municipal, then over the Coast range to Hollister Municipal (18nm), then over the Diablo range to Los Banos Municipal (28nm). This is followed by a longer leg (48nm) over the central valley, flying past Merced and into the foothills of the Sierra Nevada to Mariposa Yosemite Airport. The final leg and longest leg will require crossing the main crest of the Sierra Nevada passing through the Ansel Adams and John Muir Wilderness Areas before descending to Mammoth Yosemite Airport.

The Orbx Northern California Scenery is NOT required.  All of the airports should be in the default scenery.  Folks are welcome to join the flight in whatever scenery they have.

The Orbx NCA scenery is somewhat expensive (~ $41) but it is a dramatic improvement over the default and joins up with the Orbx PNW if you own that.  The depictions of the diverse geographical regions of California are exceedingly well done.  If this is an area you like to fly in it is a worthy addition to your Flight Sim setup.  The link in the original post will take you to a page with screenshots so you can see how it differs from the default.

I should be able to join in, maybe not for the whole flight but for at least the first hour or more.

I will have to substitute FTX Global for NCA and either the Carenado Cessna 185 or 337 for the A2A 172.

I WILL be there! If necessary I can provide a dedicated server.

I will be there too in A2A C172.
