February 6, 200521 yr Moderator Jason,You're absolutely right. AvSim is indispensible. I visit other sites but I only have one "home" :-)It's very easy to take something for granted. You only realise how much it is part of your life when it isn't there any more. Heaven forbid! Thanks Tom and everyone for what you give us. Ray (Cheshire, England). February 7, 200521 yr It's quite often that people tend to take advantage of the things we use on a daily basis, which includes services like these here at Avsim. How often do we come here, whether it is to download the latest and greatest airplane, scenery or modification? Or to share with others our talent for beautiful screenshots, that appear more and more realistic each day. Perhaps we come here looking for help with an issue, or to give that help to someone with an issue.Do we take a second to think of what goes on behind the scenes here that allow us to come here and without "logging in" or having to "pay" one red cent, where we can enjoy a very fast, clean, up-to-date experience all the time, everytime. I am sure many of you do have thoughts about it.I for one have looked at other alternatives, but, I always end up coming back to Avsim, to get the same thing, and saving alot of time and stress in doing so.The reason for this post? I went to search for some information elsewhere, and found so many bumps, potholes and obstructions I had to navigate through, I got completely frustrated. And yet, I came back to Avsim, and in the words of a famous chef, "BAM!", less than a minute I find what I was looking for.My sincere thanks go to the entire Avsim organization, from Tom through to the moderators here. You have made this place a welcome home for many flightsimmers, including myself. And not to forget all of the great members here who make it a real community.ThanksJason -----------------------------"There is an art . . . to flying.
