Majestic 8 Check Lists / Doors

Featured Replies

I have noticed in some You Tube Videos that you can bring up a check list on the FSX Screen. How is that done. My Second question is it says you can open all doors by using Shift + E + 1,2,3,4, but it doesn't work for me. I checked FSX > Controls / Keys and there's only one option for one door. I couldn't find anything in FSUIPC.relating to doors. Thanks in advance.

If you go to Majestic forum, there is a gauge by Jim Hodgkinson that will make opening the doors a lot easier.

Not sure about the checklist. Not seen one like you described. Maybe someone else has.

Yeah, a lot of people (including me) are not able to use doors using the Shift-E plus convention. The gauge by Jim Hodgkinson is very easy to install and very helpful.

The checklist you might be referencing is for the Aivlasoft Electronic Flight Bag (EFB), a VERY nice tool (NavData can be lacking sometimes, but overall an incredible tool).

There is also Check List Manager, another payware program, and I believe I read somewhere that they were going to do the Dash 8.

Finally, I believe I saw an FSX kneeboard variant which may have been floating around the Beta guys, but I haven't used it and I've not seen it published (likely because it's not ready). Don't quote me on this though.

The shift  and  2, 3, 4  works fine  by  it all depends on the speed you  do it after you pressed the shift key, once you mastered  this all is fine  have  to check this guage  thou  might be even faster opening the doors :)

Hello!

I may have bad luck or doing something wrong, but when searching for "Jim Hodgkinson doors" at the Majestic's forums i do not find anything sadly.

The same goes out if i search via Google for instance.

Is this gauge still available to the public?

If so i'd be most thankful if a  more specific hint about where to exactly find it could be provided.

That would be really great!

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

Sorry Christoph, I thought it was pinned. Anyway, Pete came to the rescue. Thanks Pete.

Thank You both very, very much!

I really appreciate Your time and effort here!

I also want apologize for the mess and incovinience, but either the keywords i used while searching for this gauge or something else went wrong during my attempts to find it.

The greater though to have it available now and i am certainly going to try it out as soon as possible - ... and certainly going to back up my current files first! B)

Thank You!

Enjoy flying and happy landings.

No need to apologize for anything,  wasn't  any incovinience at all , main thing is  that you got what you were after and hopefully it works for you :0
