May 11, 201412 yr To regain some of that performance after installing orbx, you might try turning off the vector lights... Also for Rex, run directx textures where ever possible. I think root cause of the light is just the share amount of textures now being thrown at the engine. At some point the card is working harder to maintain those fps. There is no question that a faster gpu is the key to have all the full potential of graphic goodness pouring through your monitor. But that's a good thing in my book! Also is promising some more texture optimization for 2.3....so let's see.

May 12, 201412 yr Author Are you basing your findings on just Vanilla everything except the baron? Yes..at the time of the post it was...had great performance, deadly smooth...ah...but then, I started to add ORBX...and all FPS performance went into the toilet.....(flush.........gurgle......gone) I have to disagree. I still see micro stutters. Worse then fsx. I was only running at the time of my comment...in Vanilla Mode. But...after adding my first ORBX...yes...FPS went goodbye...and micro-stutters showed themselves. So, I absolutely agree with your saying that there are still Micro-Stutters in P3d...but I only found it if you went beyond the program as first installed. When it was in that form...there was no performance degradation on my system. I am thinking seriously of re-installing a Vanilla..and leaving it pretty much as that. That would be preferential to merely deleting and forgetting I bought into it.... The rapid creation of threads about his feelings on Prepar3D reminds me more of J van E though. Actually, I do run all of then on a regular basis, with the rule of what I want to achieve in that flight...and then I pick the best platform for it. FSX is fab. So is XPX.x...and P3D was COOKING right out of the 'box'...but...tsk..tsk...don't add anything to the recipe...for you'll ruin the cake, lol. Mitch
