ORBX was probably contracted to supply P3D graphics....

Featured Replies

Have been flying around P3D 2.2 for about an hour or so...and nobody could easily convince me, that ORBX was not contracted to supply the base world graphics. They look so ORBX'esque, like a finger-print, lol

Hmmmmmm.....

I don't know, but I doubt it.

Kind regards,

It really looked that way to me Spirit....as I had the vanilla on the screen. In fact Spirit, it looked way better than GEX...AND...just below a full blown dedicated ORBX Global. I know that I could have easily have stopped there...with Vector to smooth out the coastlines...and add roadways, etc.

It was premium right out of the box, compared to FSX.  If I had not had success to boost and keep my FPS at around 30 FPS this morning...I was quite prepared to format my P3D drive..and just stay Vanilla/Vector.

Thanks MD!

Mitch, I have been reading your other posts about your variable performance in P3D 2.2.

What are your specs addons, tweaks etc.?

Maybe we can not collectively get all of our rigs perfect, but let's try and make yours work right, then take it from there.

Perhaps we could take turns. Just a thought.

Kind regards,

I think that during the 1.x updates Lockheed Martin updated lots of default landclass which is why it should look better than default FSX scenery.

Hi Stephen,  Well...actually it is working gang-busters at the moment.  I have a sustainable 27-30 in all ORBX custom, and even at taxi at those airports.  My early morning .cfg file is in the P3D forum, and I guess that I'd have to snap a pic of my FSX mask in N.I. that P3D.exe is now slaved to.  But at least for myself Steph...I went from miserable to ecstatic only this morning and onward!

Cheers,

Mitch

I'll say that right out of the box...a user would have a premium GEX enhanced experience....and if they like GEX (which I sure did...) in FSX...then they would need go no further, as long as they could have all graphic tabs wide open.

...miserable to ecstatic, and ecstatic back to miserable, and back again is part of the reason we do this, right? :friends:

Kind regards
