May 22, 201412 yr For yhose of us not to savvy. How do you go about turning the core off and then on again through the task manager?
May 22, 201412 yr Moderator Bring up Task Manager - select the Prepar3d.exe process - right click - click affinity - uncheck Core 0 - close - repeat and check Core 0 RIG#1 - I9 14900K MSI Pro z790 RTX 5070Ti 40" 4K Monitor 3840x2160
May 22, 201412 yr Some people claimed improved Performance/less blurries by setting core usage using external programs contrary to affinity mask. Others where in doubt there could be any difference - after all (given the same settings) all cores are used in both approaches. Maybe this trick is the key for an explanation. External programs (like Bill's process manager) may produce the same usage (say, of all cores) but might induce another and perhaps more efficient load-balancing from the outset. No proof, just an idea. May 22, 201412 yr I looked today what effect concerning cores does a game like Battlefield4 and i see core usage balanced for all 6 cores by default ... I'm running AM=15 and balanced across all cores as well.
May 23, 201412 yr Many thanks Nudata, great find. Works great for FSX DX10 as well. In fact, extremely well.
