May 26, 201412 yr I just bought Fs2Crew for Majestic Dash 8 Q400. I have installed the Q400 in P3D. AFTER buying FS2Crew I realized that it could NOT find the Q400 as it is NOT in the FSX directory. Is there ANY way around this problem? Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
May 26, 201412 yr Commercial Member FS2Crew does not technically support P3D. However, here's a trick. Create an 'aircraft.cfg' file in this location. Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\mjc8q400\aircraft.cfg The FS2Crew installer checks to see if the 'aircraft.cfg' file is there to determine if you have the Majestic Dash 8 installed. We had to do this because from time to time we'd get people who buy FS2Crew even though they don't own the aircraft. Once the installer lets you proceed, you'll need to manually point the installer to P3D. Then you will need to manually add the FS2Crew entries to the Panel.CFG file for the Majestic Dash 8. There is a forum post a bit further down that covers which entries you need to add. Best, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
May 26, 201412 yr Author I might have solved it with another trick. I edited the AppPath in the Registry to point to my P3D installation D:\P3D v2\ I then moved a copy of fsx.exe to my P3D root directory. Now when I start Fs2Crew I get no error message about FSX not found. Have NOT tested that yet but it might work. Jack Matt.... _____________________________ ... and run FSXRegUtility.exe,Choose the "Set Path" tabSelect your Prepar3d folderSelect "Add to Current User KeyPress the "Set FSX path" buttonYou should now be able to run the FS2Crew config manager as per the manual. _____________________________ When i run Config manager I don´t have a "Set Path"-tab! The only thing I can do is Enable/Disable Voice Control. Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain
May 27, 201412 yr Author Hi Matt No not here. When I run the FSXRegUtility it just flickers for a second and tells me that the installation folder i found, but nothing more. BUT it seems that my installation works all right. But I have another problem. I have assigned the Key "C" (as suggestd in the manual) for opening/closing the Main Panel. Problem is that it opens when I click "C" but I can not close it by clicking the "C" again!!! What am I doing wrong? Thanks for trying to help me. Cheers Jack Jack J Jackson Castalla, Alicante, Spain

Problem is that it opens when I click "C" but I can not close it by clicking the "C" again!!! What am I doing wrong? Press the "LK" button on the FS2Crew Main Panel. By default, the panels are "locked" open. This is because if you switch camera views, 2D panels will auto close... unless we force them open (locking). B. June 6, 201411 yr FS2Crew does not technically support P3D. Hi, What is the policy of FS2Crew regarding P3D V2? I'm considering to buy the DH4 voice edition for FSX, but in the near future (this year) I will migrate to P3D V2. Therefore I don't want to invest again for a P3D version (if applicable) Egbert Drenth Location: Vleuten, The Netherlands, 17.3dme SPL 108.40 | Simulator: FS2024 System: AMD 7800X3D - Gigabyte X670 - RTX 4090 - 64GB DDR5 - 2 x 2TB SSD - 32" 1440p Display - Windows 11 Pro
June 6, 201411 yr Commercial Member Hi Egbert, Our installer doesn't support P3D but you can install it manually. There'a few forum threads showing how. We'll probably update our installer once Majestic officially supports P3D and has a P3D installer as well. Best, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
