May 26, 201412 yr Hi all Yesterday's flight : Caen LFRK to Lyon LFLL Real weather, with the trial version of ASN (and I am falling in love for it) Caen Airport, 6:00 pm, boarding closed Not enough to appear on badbadweather, but thick cover, and serious turbulence Above FL250, blue sky, finally Reaching FL310 after a 3 000 ft/mn-climb Paris is under the sun today Heading right to the Centre A few miles before Clermont-Ferrand, heading left to Lyon Following the TIS STAR to Lyon Cleared to land Manual approach, gently following the glide 7:10pm, just a 5 minutes-delay. The airport is quite busy at this time, reaching the gate requests patience. It's good to be back home !
May 27, 201412 yr Stunning work and all this on a i5 2500k. I guess the R9 290 and of course your talent makes the difference! btw...your work as caused me to buy the R9 280 6Gb video-card (at a great price) even if everyone advised me to buy the GTX770 (too many US $$$). Darryl
May 28, 201412 yr Author Thank you all for your kind comments your work as caused me to buy the R9 280 6Gb video-card I don't know how this particular GPU performs, but you shouldn't be disappointed. I had an AMD GPU a few years ago and it did not perform very well with FSX. With P3D, and the increased role of the GPU, things have changed.
June 1, 201412 yr Did you found any solution on adding raleygh scattering effects through p3d as you mentioned by your thread for sweetfx ? It would be great if someone could add this shader as seen om xplane. By the way I already requested this feature on the P3D forum and many users agreed for this : http://www.prepar3d.com/forum-5/?mingleforumaction=viewtopic&t=6375.3#postid-38172
June 1, 201412 yr Author To be honest, I dont have nor the time, nor the skill to find any solution. I am stuck on coding a shader, which I cannot do. You did the right move with posting on the official board, as I think such an atmospheric shader would be a great step forward for everyone.
June 1, 201412 yr Author extrememly nice shots.. Thanks for taking the time to comment. It doesn't look like Wilco CRJ Evolusion. What addon is it? You are absolutely right. Believe it or not, this is the default CRJ that I merged with VASFMC (PFD+ND in the virtual cockpit)
