There is a TV documentary  on BBC2 (UK) about Eric"Winkle" Brown who is 95 years old test pilot.

His record includes flying 487 different aircraft types (excluding variants). He also made 2407 carrier landings, both of which are records.

WOW......here is a list of all the aircraft flown by him to set the Guinness Book of Records.

A remarkable record!

-------------

Worthy of mention when reminiscing about airplanes of yesterday - is the very recent find of an Avro Anson which disappeared 72 years ago. It was on a training flight from the Patricia Bay air station on southern Vancouver Island and crashed on the side of a mountain.

The remains of the four crew- RCAF & RAF, have been returned to relatives.
