Air Force Selects Enlisted Pilot Trainees
Jim, That subject headline was exactly from the article, I did not fabricate it AND if you actually read the article you will see that the Air Force refers to them as enlisted pilots.

My decision to fly as few airplanes as practical
About 95% of my flying is with the CS C-130J and the MILVIZ King Air. My "mission" is to fly into and out of as many airports around the world as possible. Airports to date 1080.

AMD Display Driver Update To 16.200.1025.0
I have recently updated my AMD display driver to the latest version (16.200.1025.0, June 6, 2016) and it seems to work great. I also changed my Anti-aliasing Method from Multisampling to Supersampling. It seems to have smoothed out my flights and provided me with a small improvement in FPS. I am running Windows 10 FSX Acceleration.

Airbus nose wheel problem
OK OK, thanks for that beautiful CS 130, not the same model as the CS C-130, but pretty just the same....

Airbus nose wheel problem
I had a similar problem (not able to use yoke for steering) on the CS 130. I shut down FSX and restarted and the problem went away. Sorry, I do not fly tube liners................

Do any of the programs designed to boost performance actually work?
Thanks Bert, correct answer from my perspective as well, also thanks for the link ( I did not know it was out there). Also makes it easy to tweak CFG for different aircraft and flying situations, without having to manually go into CFG.

Drones at my Alma Mater - Corpus Christi Texas
This 100 Drone Synchronized Airshow Is The World's Largest, And Most Impressive - 2 Min 25 Sec ►This 100 Drone Synchronized Airshow Is The World's Largest, And Most Impressive Drones have a lot of people worried about privacy, but they can be used for good as well as nefarious purposes. Take, for instance, a spectacular display of drone technology by Intel Corporation (USA) involving 100 small aircrafts being launched skywards in formation has earned a new Guinness World Record for the Most Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs) airborne simultaneously. Controlled on the ground by a crew using PCs with Intel software, the mass of drones lit up the night sky in sync to a live performance of Beethoven's Fifth Symphony and executed a stunning light show resembling a fireworks display. "Drone 100" took place at Flugplatz Ahrenlohe, Tornesch, Germany, in November 2015. The record was set in collaboration with Ars Electronica Futurelab to push the limits of the UAV industry and to show what UAVs can be used for.

Drones at my Alma Mater - Corpus Christi Texas
I think both are impressive. Definitely something we need now and in the future more so. The integration with ATC will be critical and it looks like that is a big part of it. Is there any target for when they would like to go "live"?

Nice program, hope it proves out and is beneficial to everyone. Bill, didn't they have tracking collars on those dinosaurs?

THANK YOU
I am on AVSIM at least once a day, and sometimes more often. The information and knowledge I have gained from AVSIM has enabled me to enjoy FSX much more than I could have otherwise. Thanks to the Members and Staff of AVSIM!!! I have also tried to express my thanks with a donation every so often so that this resource will be available to us......

What's your favorite airport? (RL or sim)
After in/out 1053 airports on FSX so far, I really do not have a "favorite" I am usally following a route or going to a region of the world in the news or with some interesting weather patterns. Also focused on a few airports deemed "interesting" such as RJGG, SBSP, RJBB, NZPG, ENSB and OYTZ.

What's your day job?
I am "retired" but worked in IT from 1963 to 2005. I have been a programmer, systems analyst, IT Manager and consultant, and then went into manufacturing since my degree is in Business Management. Spent a number of years splitting my time, at the same companies, between IT and Production Management & Purchasing. We (AVSIM) have a lot of talented people participating in this "hobby".....thanks to all of you for your involvement. My aircraft interest started when I was young and heard about Charles Lindbergh and Amelia Earhart!!!!

Thanks for those links! More interesting information and it will probably take me a few reads to get a basic understanding of the techniques, but very interesting.

FSX Developement History & ESP evolution
I have been "learning" about flying and FSX for a number of years. With the recent discussion about "new" simulators I thought I would see what information was available about FSX development and ESP evolution. I am going to include a few links that might be of interest to some of you. After looking at this material I am more enamored with FSX/ESP and the evolution. Perhaps some of you (particularly those that have dug into the SDK in depth - i.e.Steve Parsons, developers, etc.)already know most of this. I hope you find these interesting. Let us start with the WiKI information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Microsoft_Flight_Simulator Microsoft ESP SDK White Paper: https://app.box.com/s/tdt0xv8torf2cvbolhx0y8tu40zz708e GameBasedLearningStudies: https://app.box.com/s/pvjkieqhy3rr82w5b8j54cznc1w1o2ah Converting 3DSMax models to GMax for use with FSX: https://app.box.com/s/upmqxq7hhvlu4dtg175macuy8lmsn1u0 Enjoy..............
