  1. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!!! Bob Werab - San Antonio
  2. My son and I went up in that plane last summer outside of San Antonio. RIP to crew and passengers.
  3. I setup a flight plan to fly IFR (VOR-VOR) from KSAV to KCLT using the CaptSim C130 autopilot. I get about 2/3 of the way there and ATC starts giving me instructions that turn me around 180 degrees!! I have tried this several times and got the same results.I have then cancelled IFR and flown VFR with no problems into KCLT, same flight plan. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Maybe it is just me..... Bob
  4. Resetdll did not work for me, so....I installed using compatibility mode (Vista), uninstalled FSX only (not Acceleration), reinstalled FSX (Disk 1 & 2 only), prompted for license key and tested that it worked. I then installed Acceleration, it did not ask for license key. I did the following Regedit, rebooted, restarted FSX and everything worked fine. This was after a factory reset "uninstalled" most of my programs (apps). Okay. It seems like this did the trick: 1. run regedit (Windowskey +R) 2. Expand the following registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CURRENTCONTROLSET\CONTRO L\CLASS\{4D36E967- E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318} 3. After you find the folder, double-click Upperfilters on the right side. 4. Change the value from 0 to PartMgr and/or remove any other settings and then click OK. 5. Close Registry Editor 6. Start FSX/Accel and you should get the registration wizard. The next time you launch FSX, you'll have the prompt to enter the ACCELERATION product key. Closed/Opened a few times, and all seems well.

  6. I do not like the new format at all. It is very poorly laid out and very ineffective to view.
  7. He has flown in/out of both of those airfields more than once, he knows (or should know) the difference between the smaller runway and a taxiway.

  9. Yes, it is a fantastic piece of software, and I have been using it on a regular basis. Thanks Alex and Team!!!
  10. Wow!!!!!!!! Why can't that happen to me, at least one time.............I don't need two winners one will do!!!
  11. Interesting facts, which made me want to look further. Interesting article "Air Force One-Point-Three" at http://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/01/air-force-one-point-three/385037/
  12. Indians fan but a great series and exciting finish.....congratulations to the Cubs!!
  13. Alex, GREAT tool and I look forward to using it on a regular basis. I also had problems with a file from UTX and a custom developed BGL for Rarotonga (Cook Islands). If I can assist by sending you more detail please let me know. Regards, Bob Werab
  14. Thank you gentlemen..... I am still using 5.4b so I guess that is still an issue, even with 6.0. I understand it is Beta so I will keep monitoring and go with the flow............ Thanks again
  15. Sheza: Thanks for the pointer. I missed it on the Front Page. I have downloaded and installed but it seems to hang of loading the scenery database, specifically on a MyTraffic BGL. Any ideas? The error is: https://app.box.com/s/vppjdcnsl8rtluxywsrc7y9lg3eqq71u Details are included in above image. It starts to load but gets the error on one particular airport. This is a very feature rich applications and I am looking forward to using it. Bob
  16. Eugene, Great stories....thanks..... Did you ever fly into Zweibrucken (EDRZ).......NATO when I was there....... Bob
  17. Jim, That subject headline was exactly from the article, I did not fabricate it AND if you actually read the article you will see that the Air Force refers to them as enlisted pilots.
  18. http://www.avweb.com/avwebflash/news/Air-Force-Selects-Enlisted-Pilot-Trainees-226545-1.html Maybe they will be interested in some of us simmers????
  19. About 95% of my flying is with the CS C-130J and the MILVIZ King Air. My "mission" is to fly into and out of as many airports around the world as possible. Airports to date 1080.
  20. I have recently updated my AMD display driver to the latest version (16.200.1025.0, June 6, 2016) and it seems to work great. I also changed my Anti-aliasing Method from Multisampling to Supersampling. It seems to have smoothed out my flights and provided me with a small improvement in FPS. I am running Windows 10 FSX Acceleration.

  22. OK OK, thanks for that beautiful CS 130, not the same model as the CS C-130, but pretty just the same....
  23. I had a similar problem (not able to use yoke for steering) on the CS 130. I shut down FSX and restarted and the problem went away. Sorry, I do not fly tube liners................
  24. Thanks Bert, correct answer from my perspective as well, also thanks for the link ( I did not know it was out there). Also makes it easy to tweak CFG for different aircraft and flying situations, without having to manually go into CFG.
