i7 4790K ES Review: mildly disappointing?

Featured Replies

I have a 2700k running at 4.9 Ghz and a Corsair h60 cooler.  Temperature never breaks 70, usually around 64 C., voltage around 1.44.  I get great FSX performance, no stutters.

I've had it for almost 2 years, see no reason to upgrade and will run this sucker until it implodes, hopefully not for a while

Some got their 4770K's to 5 GHz too while others barely break 4.2 GHz. So far the new CPU looks to be similar.

If it was so great, it wouldnt be offered at the same price as a 4770k
