No its just a toy story

Right, I realize that, but I assume it was used to describe something that actually happened here on the PMDG forums regarding the 777 release and upcoming service pack along with recent events that delayed the release.

Arrrrrgghh..you didn't catch the humor there..

So unless I've missed something, and I freely admit it is entirely possible that I did since I've been at work for the past five weeks and therefore haven't been able to follow much of what was going on, from what I recall, most people who were complaining about things were complaining that service pack one still hasn't been released or that it's taking too long. So PMDG should rush and release sooner? Again, maybe I've missed something.

 

:Thinking:  my point was there are many others not complaining but still not happy about long delays, me being one of them, I admit (now i have actually officially complained for the first time and might be on the dark side of the force for some in here :Devil: ).

there are not just the good boys flying happy and the bad boys moaning.

I don't think the OP was aiming this at certain people (I may be wrong). I think is was a bit of fun to lighten up the atmosphere whilst we await the release. There will always be people over excited waiting for a release and other people that are happy to wait. The FS community is made up from all age groups and walks of life. Some people are not frequent flyers because of work and family commitments, they can wait for the release as it doesn't affect them. Some people are younger and maybe do not have jobs and fly more, maybe wanting and update more, some people are retired and are happy to wait. I'm not saying that this is exactly before some body thinks I'm saying it's the younger generation complaining. Also people have different expectations, I my self have lived through the time that you flew a plane on a ZX Spectrum with 8 bit colours, over matchstick houses, with no VC, outside view or round gauges. Then you get people who have just started in FSX, think that it should look like the latest version of Call of Duty, even though one was built in 2006 and the other in 2013.

 

For some reason there is a lot of anger on the PMDG forum that you don't see as much elsewhere. Maybe it is a different user base or people have different have higher expectations from PMDG.

It was the last sentence in that one post that threw me off that said "we should be rather happy to have these 'moaners' who at least try to keep shop owners on their toes." But again, maybe I read it wrong somewhere. That said, if you don't agree, I can't really stop you, you're free to post if you don't agree. I don't have a problem with that, but if there's something that I'm not picking up here, as is the case now, I'm going to ask for clarification, which is what I'm doing here.

Does chapter two involve the naughty children who start moaning about the older toy, because it was not quite right and although the toy shop was working on making things to improve the T7, working on how to add them to the older toy, as well as designing even newer toys, they were still was not happy because the older toy did not match exactly the bigger toys made by the Boeing toy shop.

My toy is not as shiny as the other toys so you betcha i'll be moaning! Whaaaa!!! :Cry:

All right, fair enough. The only thing I remembered was people being unhappy about the fact that it's taking so long to release the service pack, so therefore my confusion since I obviously missed something. Obviously difficult to keep quality up if they're rushing.
