SP1 Performance decrease

Featured Replies

Good afternoon,

on this very hot afternoon I installed the new SP1 and wanted to test it prior the buy of the 300ER. But I had to recognize that I have a frames decrease on airports where I had no problem prior the SP1 release.

I did not change anything as I spend my time away (holiday). For example at LOWW from FlyTampa I've had never any problems while flying the 200LR from Austrian or Emirates. Now I'm getting around 20fps and sometimes some light stutters.

I installes the OC update and also restarted the OC and updated the liveries.

System specs:

Windows 7 x64

Intel i5 4670k

8GB RAM

GeForce GTX 770

Thanks for some hints :) Before buying the new 300ER I want to be sure I will not get a decrease of fps to enjoy flying the long sister of the LR :)

I'm having similar issues with SP1.

Now, I'm running FSX on a system with ATI card (Radeon 6990) so it's not an exactly ideal situation for FSX. Still, I'm used to getting around 20 to 25FPS with most aircraft in complex payware airports.

For example at Flytampa Athens I get around 20 FPS with 737NGX + 100% UT2 traffic and some weather. In pre SP1 777 I got around 18 FPS in same situation, now after SP1 I get around 8-12. The problem exists only in VC view, outside I get totally fine, normal FPS.

Really it's pretty much unflyable for me.

System specs:

Win 7 64 bit Home

ATI Radeon 6990

I7 2600k @ 4.4ghz

8GB RAM

I'm actually noticing a little increase in frame rates and overall smoothness after installing SP1

I feel like I have also experienced a small increase in frame rates at default airports. At flyTampa Dubai my FPS has dropped about 2-3 overall.

Can't report anything like that. The only issue I have is the inability to fly with more than 4x auto cruise/accelleration. Apart from that - no problems; slightly (really slightly) more FPS and, overall, a better performance (although I don't have an NVIDIA but only an ATI RADEON HD6900, Intel i7-4770k 3.5 GHz and 16 gig RAM - OK, forget about the RAM; does not matter).

Okay now it's starting to seem like there was just something wrong with my installation.

Just did a complete reinstall of the 777, now my FPS seems to be back where it was before, around 20.  I'm really happy now, got to do some longhaul tomorrow.

I already tried with a full reinstall to be honest and okay...it got a bit better now and I can fly now. But there is still a decrease if I fly to airporty like FlyTampa where I normally had no problems with any kind of aircraft.

I hope the SP1b will may fix something in that direction to make it a bit more "stable". BUT...I did not experience any OOM only a lost in frames...
