PMDG secret project
My guess: it is a stand-alone EFB.

Autopilot keeps disconnecting...
I had the same problem, along with the landing gear going up or down every now and then. For me, the problem has been solved by not using a panel state that was saved before SP1c.

Problems with time compression 8x
Time acceleratoin works again fine for me, just as it did before SP1b. 16x is not a problem.

Things you should do before installing 777 SP1 - READ THIS!
I am not sure whether you have to install the SP 1b at all. Does the base pack not already include the SP? I would install the 200LR first. Then, take a look into the PMDG OPS center whether it announces that an update is available. If so, install the SP; if not, install the expansion (300) directly. Cheers,

Procedure to Resume from Saved Flight
If I reload a flight, I select the saved situation directly from the menu (without loading the aircraft first). So far, I've never encountered a problem with the aircraft model. Have you tried re-installing the livery or saving and then reloading a different livery? Maybe the problem lies there.

A weird bug
This is a known error that is supposed to be fixed with the next service pack. I suppose it happens only if you use a time compression larger than 4x?

Problems with time compression 8x
Can you tell me where you have learned that? I have not heard anything from the developer on that issue since shortly after the relase of SP1b.

Problems with time compression 8x
Have you changed anything so you can reach at least the 8x compression? I can't go beyond 4x at all.

08AUG14 - SP1b for PMDG 777-200LR/F and 300ER Released
If you switch, lets say from external view to vc, try to press the button(s) that you use for changing the views again while the textures are loading. Helped me; the texture are, with the 2nd press, immediately there.

08AUG14 - SP1b for PMDG 777-200LR/F and 300ER Released
Yeah, I would appreciate it. What is the order with that hand washing? Seriously: after checking my (yesterday re-downloaded) 300ER-installer, I found that, once unzipped, it contained the "old" installer dated July 2014. I then checked my PMDG account AGAIN and found that I have two different download links there. I now tried the other one and voilà: this download contained the new installer and now it updated. Thanks.

08AUG14 - SP1b for PMDG 777-200LR/F and 300ER Released
Thanks for your reply. I have also followed the instruction; furthermore, I have downloaded the 300ER again from my account and re-installed it. However, OC shows only the base pack updated. Does your OC show new versions (1.10.6061) installed for both the 777 and the 777-300ER?

08AUG14 - SP1b for PMDG 777-200LR/F and 300ER Released
??? The update can be downloaded from the PMDG webpage without logging into the account. As far as I see, there is only one SP1b for both the base pack and the 300ER. That is the one I've downloaded and installed. By the way, I have also re-downloaded the updated 300ER installer from my account and re-installed the aircraft; same result. EDIT: This is the link for the SP from the 300ER-page on the PMDG website: https://s3.amazonaws.com/PMDG_Downloads/file_library/servupd/PMDG_777_200LRF_6061_SP1b.ZIP So, can anyone please confirm that, although the file name relates to the 200LRF only, it is also the update for the 300ER - OR - is there a second, different file somewhere?

08AUG14 - SP1b for PMDG 777-200LR/F and 300ER Released
Sorry for the confusion: after installing SP1b, the OC reads "1.10.6061" as installed version for the PMDG 777 (base pack) but 1.10.6036 for the 300ER. Is this correct; is the 300ER-version not updated?

Virtual Cdu
I've had the same issue for the app crash when selecting the FIX page. However, at the next flight (next day, so I restarted the PC and TAB etc.) it did not occur again; currently it is no porlblem to select FIX.

22Jul14 - Sp1 Monitoring Items Updated
I am really not sure that a majority of people have issues with SP1. People who have to problem with SP1 probably do not post on the forum, at least not as much as captains who encounter certain problems.

SP1 Performance decrease
Can't report anything like that. The only issue I have is the inability to fly with more than 4x auto cruise/accelleration. Apart from that - no problems; slightly (really slightly) more FPS and, overall, a better performance (although I don't have an NVIDIA but only an ATI RADEON HD6900, Intel i7-4770k 3.5 GHz and 16 gig RAM - OK, forget about the RAM; does not matter).

22Jul14 - Sp1 Monitoring Items Updated
I don't think so. That looked like an update for the OC itself; I don't see the version of the 777 changed.
-
Problems with time compression 8x
Same problem here. No problem before SP1, now auto cruise / time compression is only working up to 4x. 8x/16x impossible; the plane starts to make left and right turns after a few seconds.

17JUL14 - Updated PMDG 777-200LR/F and 300ER Release Information
Now it says: No really... just a tiny tiny TINY bit longer... (Is your F5 key broken? I think it is... look at it!) :-p

Service-based failures and auto-cruise
Dear fellow captains: I have a question regarding auto-cruise and service-based failures. Since I enjoy taking long-haul flights with the B77L but do not have the time to sit in front of the PC for 10+ hrs, I almost always use the auto-cruise feature. Additionally, I would like to enable service-based failures but fear that, since I also leave the PC in auto-cruise for an hour or so, I would end up crashed somewhere should a serious malfunction occur during that time. So my question: since auto-cruise can automatically pause the aircraft before TOD, will it also pause the simulator should a service-based failure occur during auto-cruise? Did somebody try that? Kind regards, Markus

300ER, PFPX and TOPCAT
I don't expect the -300 to be added to TOPCAT anytime. Their products are outstanding, their customer support sucks. No wonder, given that the whole product development relies on one person who does all the work in his free time besides his job as Airline Pilot. I would guess they (he) rather think(s) about a complete new Topcat program that would allow users to easily add new profiles AS in PFPX. They mentioned something like that in their forum. Considering that the development of PFPX took years, we will most likely see a profile for the -300 in 202x.
