Aux Tank Setup

Featured Replies

Why would the Aux Tank selection be "grayed out" (non-selectable) in the FMC options?  It's grayed out in the FMCs of both the -200 and -300.

Thank you,

Ken

Did the -200 you were flying happen to be the Freighter? If so, it was removed due to not being available on the Freighter in reality. It's also not available on the -300ER.

Thanks Steve.  I did have the Aux Tanks installed in the freighter before SP1.  Guess I'll need to hang "drop tanks" for the (extended) long hauls from now on

They are definitely still there in the pax version, did a flight with it yesterday, and the tanks were still there :-).

Any items that are standard on the particular aircraft are greyed out.

Example:

The 300ER has the ability to configure for APU-Pack takeoff automatically (thus, you can enter APU on the THR REF page instead of a selected temp, if the APU is on).  This is standard.  If you see it in the list, it's greyed out.  The reason it's in the list is that the list is all the same from the 200LR/F, where APU-Pack is optional.
