July 22, 201411 yr I'm going to try again and see if anyone can help with a seemingly viable work around for the slow loading aircraft textures when switching views. When in "External Locked Spot View" (for a while) and then switching to "Virtual Cockpit View", the cockpit textures can take quite some time to appear. Now for the "Work Around", if you switch from "External Locked Spot View" to "Virtual Cockpit View" then quickly back to "External Locked Spot View" and immediately back to "Virtual Cockpit View", the textures are all there instantly. Question is, how to create a one touch to do all that? Maybe in FSUIPC or "Gaming Keyboard Programming"? This also works from VC to External. My real question is, why does one have to do a work around like this when the textures are right there with the work around, otherwise it can takes sometimes seconds. Ric Elmore
July 24, 201411 yr Now this is an interesting question! Didn't know about the work around but will try that out.
July 24, 201411 yr Unfortunately I do not know how to do all those steps in a single click. However, I've noticed that you can also do the same when switching between the 2D panel and the VC (in 2D, switch to VC, instantly revert back to 2D, switch again to VC). July 25, 201411 yr I suppose it has something to do with the textures being unloaded after a certain time period. Then if you switch back to VC, it has to load everything again. Like you said, if done quickly, it doesn't happen. Wait too long, everything has to be reloaded again. Jeff Thomson
July 25, 201411 yr I hit the A key (from no texture vc view) quickly and when it returns to VC the textures are always there, no exceptions ZORAN
