  1. As a general, non-official, totally unrealistic rule of thumb that I tend to use when flying casually (offline) and when I don't have the appropriate charts: I aim to intercept the LOC at a distance of 8-10 NM and at altitude 2200-2500 ft above airport elevation assuming the surrounding terrain allows it.
  2. Here I use FSX most of the time (~75%). But over the last year I've been getting increasingly involved in flying in DCS (~25%) especially after getting the Flaming Cliffs 3 module. However, I'm currently considering other platforms as I estimate that in 1-2 years FSX will be obsolete, for me at least. I'm seriously considering X-Plane as my next sim. Falcon 4 BMS is another one on my radar but I don't think I'll be getting it anytime soon as I'm still learning the basics of air-air combat in DCS.
  3. Well, on my end pages certainly load in a much "smoother" way.
  4. Try disabling any download accelerators if you have any. Also, you might try to disable any security software you have, temporarily, and give it a go.

  9. If you haven't seen it already, Dino has just released his Aermacchi MB.326. According to his blog, the MB.326 compatible with FSX:A, P3D 1.X and P3D 2.X. As usual, you can grab the aircraft at his blog here: http://indiafoxtecho.blogspot.com/
  10. As an ATi/AMD card user myself I can say that I really, truly understand your feelings right now and that I envy you so, so much
  11. Thanks for the headsup
  12. Thanks a lot for the update Robert. I'll be looking forward for that "bunch of news"
  13. Lotus L-39 Albatross, it's an excellent aircraft. According to its developers, cockpit sharing and multiplayer flights were planned from the start, so the model was built with those in mind.
  14. Unfortunately I do not know how to do all those steps in a single click. However, I've noticed that you can also do the same when switching between the 2D panel and the VC (in 2D, switch to VC, instantly revert back to 2D, switch again to VC).
  15. Thanks a lot
