L-39, Anyone Still Fly It?

Featured Replies

Ryan, I added the Bendix window to the panel.cfg and your fixed autopilot version to the aircraft cfg.  The panel pops up, I can change the alt and vs numbers, but nothing happens when I push the AP button.  Is there something else I missed?

What does the Window Titles area say?

I use RXP 430W so I had to renumber Window02 to 03

[Window Titles]
Window00=Main Panel
Window01=GPS
Window02=Reality XP GNS 430 WAAS - RXP_CONFIG_TOOL - DO NOT CHANGE
Window03=Radio Stack Panel
Window05=Reality XP DropStack
Window10=Popup

Also be sure to comment out or delete the already existing autopilot sections in the cfg

I deleted the window10 popup.  What purpose would it serve?  My Bendix panel pops up!

I copied your auto pilot section over the original autopilot section after making a copy of the aircraft.cfg.  For some reason, the AP is not recognized when I push the AP button!  Could there be something else necessary to connect this panel to the plane's operation?

Hi Ryan,

I finally got it to work.  With the Lotus L-39, you can change the panel.cfg of the main version and this then applies to other versions.  However, you must activate the AP in the aircraft.cfg of each version of the aircraft.  I did this and it is now working.  Thanks again for your help.
