777 Documentation Issue:

Featured Replies

I seem to have deleted (or somehow lost) my 777 documentation.  I am only able to access the first manual.  All others don't respond to my call when I go to OC/777/documentation.

Is there any place I can go to download the other manuals.  I've checked the download section of PMDG website and they are not listed.  I am having trouble and need to go the the documents to read them and try to figure out my solution.  Any help would be appreciated.  Thanx a million.

Hi, Donald,

Have you checked the folder where the manual files are located?  It's  ...\Flight Simulator X\PMDG\PMDG 777X\Flight Manuals .

If they are not there, I believe the only way to get them is to reinstall the T7 -- at least SP1 and probably the 777-300 if you bought it too,.

Try running the installer and select REPAIR. Any lost/corrupt files should be restored.

Well, you found my problem.  I don't even have that folder in my system.  Is there a way to copy someone elses folder and just add it to mine?

Did you look in the PMDG Operations Center?

Donald, try Dan's suggestion of running the installer and selecting the repair option.  Didn't think of that!

Well. . .Doggies,  I ran the repair part of the installer and still dont have all the files.  I do have the manuals folder though, but it contains only the first "intro. folder".  That's all.  Soooo. . .I still need the other 4, 5, or 6 files.  What to do,  what to do????

Hi, Donald,

Sorry  you are having such difficulties.  At this point you can either try a full reinstall or file a support ticket.  I recommend the latter as PMDG may be able to supply the missing files and help figure out how they disappeared.  Is your 777 flying OK otherwise?  If not, be sure to tell them.

Yes, that was my next step.  I just thot that maybe. . .Well it's good to have someone else confirm the solution.  All my flying has been nothing but excellent.  What I was searching was the relationship between ASN and the 777.  Once, and I stress, once, when I entered the origin and destination on the fmc and then hit the request button did I get a download of flight plan, etc.  every since when I try that method I just get the return of "not available".  That's when I figured that I need to look into the manual(s) for an answer.  Voila. . .no manuals.  Thanx for your immediate responses and for confirming that I need to file a ticket.  God bless and happy flying.
