August 23, 201411 yr Hi folks, I just have the idea that if you put the pitot covers on that simultaneously the pilots vanish. Would that not be nice? One action, two effects -- instead of digging into the 'FMC' menu. August 23, 201411 yr Hi Andreas, I don't understand your point. Could you explain a little more please? August 23, 201411 yr Author Hello Richard, well, directly accessible are the pitot covers in the FMC menu. Putting the pitot covers on means that the pilots could vanish from the outside view: Which pilots would sit on the flight deck, when the aircraft is put to sleep. However, this needs to be done via an extra point in the options (I think) menu. So putting the covers on with no pilots visible would be more realistic. I am lazy... skipping 'switching off' the pilots. August 24, 201411 yr Author Can we remove the pilots when in external view already? How? Matthew, In the 737 FMS menu: - PMDG Setup --- Options ------ Simulation ------- Pilots in ext view Still don't know what you want to accomplish here Hi Peter, (oh, didn't expect that it is that hard to understand...) it is my childish wish for realism in the outside view, achieved by ONE singe click, ie. - FS Actions --- Ground connections ----- Pitot covers on If this removes also the pilots from the outside view, I'd be simply happy. Please feedback. August 24, 201411 yr Commercial Member I don't quite see the point, really. It's an extra mouse click... Kyle Rodgers
August 24, 201411 yr Author I don't quite see the point, really. It's an extra mouse click... Hi Kyle, it is more than one click (Menu, PMDG Setup, Options, Simulation, previous page, toogle pilots in ext view) let's say six. For the 777 we get pylons now while setting the wheel chocks -- one click for different changes in the outside view, which are logically linked. Same would be my idea.
