AS2012 to ASN, textures?

Featured Replies

When setting up a flight with AS2012, it asks if you want to load textures that are specific to that flight. I always ran it that way. Now with ASN it seems like it doesn't have its own texture library and in any case there's no option to load specific textures for that flight. So how do I change textures? I still have whatever AS2012 loaded the last time I ran it. Do I need to go back to AS2012 and have it load custom textures then switch to ASN to run the weather?

Yes ASN does not have textures for now, I think they are going to change that at some point - so you could load textures shut it down and then fire up ASN to inject the weather

+1. I just got REX 4 - Texture Direct and load just the clouds and water in that program (I mainly use photoscenery).

Thanks everyone for the advice, you are a very helpful bunch and inspiring me to contribute a bit more to this awesome hobby. Will REX textures play nicely with ASN, FTX global base, vector, and Open LC?

If so then by all accounts REX looks like an excellent piece of the FSX puzzle. Generally I'm not unhappy with the AS2012 textures but some of the cloud textures are a bit too "cotton candy-like" and REX screenshots look a bit more life like.

Definitely works - no problems at all
