September 18, 201411 yr Hi everyone, This past weekend I decided it was time to do another long haul flight, so I took chose my trusty old Emirates 77L and chose Galeão International Airport over in Rio de Janeiro as my departure point. Our destination for the day was of course the home of Emirates, Dubai. I flew the flight in real time using the same equipment and flight number Emirates uses on the real world sector and I tried to depart at around the same time the actual flight does (in sim). Unfortunately, as the flight leaves Rio late at 2:06am and arrives in Dubai at 11:05pm, a fair few screenshots were taken at night so I apologize in advance for that.Total flying time was around 13 hours and 45 minutes. Weather was provided along the way by ActiveSky and as always, all my shots are unedited. Parked at the gate, long way from home: Pushing back bang on time: Taxiing to the active with the moon behind us: Rotating, this beast almost ate up the entire runway: Flying towards the moon to our initial cruise altitude of FL330: Cruising along at FL330: Dawn at last high over the middle of the Atlantic: Dawn gives way to daylight: Just about to reach the west coast of Africa: Sadly, it's time to say goodbye to daylight: Top of descent: Short finals for Runway 12R at Dubai International: Puff of smoke: Taxiing to our gate: Parked at gate F12: And a quick airport overview to wrap up this series: Thanks for looking.
