Sorry, not possible to switch. Why would a jetway go to a wing door? Cheers, B. York FS2Crew Web Site / FS2Crew Facebook Page / FS2Crew Discord
September 21, 201411 yr Sorry, not possible to switch. Why would a jetway go to a wing door? Cheers, I think he may be referring to the L2 door - the second main pax door, which on the 747-400 is in front of the leading edge of the wing. This would actually be quite accurate... Most terminal gates that handle international flights have dual jetways - one of which is used only for departures, and the second only for arrivals. The second jetway, (typically the one farthest out), will lead arriving passengers to a different level in the terminal (usually the lower level), for processing through immigration and customs. For that reason, at a given international gate, departing passengers will typically board through one specific aircraft door (L1 or L2), while arriving passengers will de-plane through the other. September 21, 201411 yr Commercial Member Here at CYVR, when a 744 parks at a gate with 2 jetways, the one that connects to the L1 door is for first class and business class access. The jetway connected to L2 door is for premium economy and economy class. If a 744 parks at a gate with just 1 jetway, the jetway connects to the L2 door. TFDi Design
