More Helicopter Shots - And A Bridge?

First three are from P3D2, I was playing around with Shade, hence the drastic differences in the ambient light coloring. IIRC the warmish tones are from the "Pyre" preset.

Here's one from FSX, I'm showing off the bridge in this shot as well. This is the Deer Isle bridge in Maine located at 44.29387,-68.68858. As some of you may be aware the Bar Harbor area of Maine has been a pet project of mine for the past 2 years or so. I've been sort of doing a "mini-region" there with new hydro polys and shorelines, some landclass with a few custom landclass textures and autogen, roads, road traffic, some wave effcts, and plenty of photoreal + autogen. I work on it on and off when I get bored with other projects. This bridge was my project for Sunday afternoon which seemed more fun than doing a full reinstall of P3D v2.3. The bridge is actually a default object custom made for this location but it was misplaced and about 3 times larger than it should have been. I got the model into gmax and scaled it down somewhat and then added a flat plane that floats just above the water under the bridge. The plane is textured almost completely transparent except for the faint occlusion just beneath the bridge. Actually it was a little too pronounced in this shot, I've since blurred it and increased the transparency somewhat to make it a bit more subtle. I thought it set the bridge off nicely though. Also while I had the model in gmax I platformed the roadway surface which allows the road traffic to drive across it (it also allows me to land the Agusta on it  ) I then added a bunch of nearby vector roads and traffic lines to put the cars & trucks in motion.

Here's a comparison from P3D2 showing how the occlusion changes things:

All in all I thought it was a rather rewarding Sunday afternoon. The Bar Harbor scenery area is also active in P3D2 incidentally, I can fly around it in either sim.

Thanks for looking!
