Does affinity mask in the config file still yield results?

If its not throttling without it in why put it in - ......

I am throttling because my CPU is overheating because I BELIEVE...I have an inadequate CPU paste to thermal waster in other words I'm not dissipating enough heat.

with my i72700k i use HT/OFF and AM=15.

After the latest update i don't get the same results.

Now I have blurries and noticable texture loading that didn't have before.

I was wondering about the same and some other things :

HT on or Off ?

AM line in the cfg file or not ?

AlwaysFullLoad=1  yes/no ?

Don't put your reply in the quoted box. Edited to correct.

on  my 17 4930 HT OFF seem to run better.  but it seem that this version i have 45-50 fps constantly but never smooth smooth

I have i2500K and I just tried AM last night. I observed that with AM=15 core 0 is maxed and core 1 is idling, while with AM=14 core 0 is idling and core 1 is maxed. Core 2 and 3 are the same (50% to maxed). Anyway, seems now even with AM=15 I still only get only three cores loaded. AM=14 gives the same core load distribution as with no AM setting.

I found that AM=14 seems to add a few fps and makes flight noticeably smoother. However, there is a big BUT: with AM=14 I got quite persistent blurry ground textures. So in the end I removed AM entry in cfg and just enjoy P3D as it is.

I tested with flight around KSEA with Orbx PNW enabled. All maxed except for traffic (road traffic = 15%, others 40-60%). In particular, all sliders in scenery to the max! With default weather I got 18-22fps which is not that horrendous and kind of flyable.
